Tucked away next to Yala, Lunugamwehera National Park is one of Sri Lanka’s oldest and least explored wildlife reserves. It’s a peaceful escape into nature, home to elephants, spotted deer, sloth bears, and an impressive variety of birds and native flora.

Half day tour

5.00 am to 10.00 am | 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm

The half day tour is dedicated towards exploring the most accessible areas of the Lunugamwehera National Park. The morning and evening safaris both offer the opportunity to see a wide variety of species including birds, elephants and various other animals.

On both occasions, you will be taken to for a short break.

7 Hours Tour

5.00 am to 12.00 pm | 12.00 pm to 7.00 pm

The focus of this tour is to witness great choice of leopard, birds, elephants, and much more. In addition, we also hope to be able to see jackals, crocodile, monkey, spotted deer, and buffalo.

Full Day Tour

5.30 am to 6.00 pm

Unlike the half days drive, in a Full day safari, the jeeps venture far inside the Jungle to give the best opportunity to see the best of Sri Lankan wildlife. These roads are very basic tracks and going is rough giving you the best viewing and game drive experience in a Sri Lankan National Park. The travellers have an option to order both picnic breakfast and lunch packs. The Lunch break will be taken near the river, a cool box with snacks and water will be provided for Full day game drives.

  • - 05.00 - 05.30: Picked up from the hotel and drive to the park entrance.

    - 06.00 – 12.00: Morning game drive.

    - 09.00: Picnic Breakfast

    - 12.00 - 14.00: At noon break, Picnic Lunch, time to rest until afternoon safari.

    - 14.00 - 18.00: Afternoon game drive.

    - 19.00 - Departure & dropped off to the hotel.
